After establishing Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) as a leading Business School and setting up three campuses across South India in Bengaluru, Kochi, and Chennai, the Principal Founder of XIME, Prof. J. Philip, wanted to contribute to his home state of Kerala in the space of foundational education.
In January 2023, the right collaboration was forged between the Archdiocese of Changanacherry, under the leadership of Archbishop Mar Joseph Perumthottam, and XIME under the leadership of Prof. J. Philip.
On April 24, 2023, just three months after this collaborative agreement, the foundation stone of XIS – XIME International School at Pallikunnu, Ettumanoor was laid. Mar Joseph Perumthottam, Archbishop of Changanacherry, presided over the ceremony, marking the start of a new era in education.
On April 09, 2024, Mar George Alencherry, Cardinal of the Syro-Malabar Church, presided over the inauguration of the XIME International School building. This day coincided with the 60th birthday of the late Ms. Maria Philip Kappil, whose cherished dream of her father’s (Prof. J. Philip) contribution to management education took shape in the birth of XIS – XIME International School. Mar Raphael Thattil, the Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, led the high mass before the inauguration ceremony.
